Jarnunvösk

Her scales are a burning, sunset orange, the color of the gemstone citrine. Her eyes are the same- a bright yet soft hue. At the moment, her body is about the length of miniature schoolbus.  Jarnunvösk shares the name of King Galbatorix's first dragon. The first Jarnunvösk was killed, leading Galbatorix to his insanity. This Jarnunvösk adopted the name, hoping to bring it to justice. Jarnunvösk's wingspan is a minibus on either side.  She is long and slender. Her legs are thin for a dragon, but still strong enough to kill a man with one blow. She has ivory spikes down her spine, smallest on her brow, largest at the center of her back. The hollow where her neck meets her spine is spikeless and ideal for a saddle to sit.     

Jarnunvösk. How to describe her? The first thing that comes to mind is 'that girl at summer camp who wakes up the entire cabin at four in the morning to see the unusually bright stars.'  And that is who Jarnunvösk is.  She loves nature, and hates seeing humans destroy it. Not to segregate humans, but they do the destroying.  Jarnunvösk can be as playful and gentle as a puppy or kitten, but as fierce a tiger the next. She is outraged by people harming those she loves and is fiercely protective. So protective, in fact, that she has difficulty letting others fight their own fights. She also dislikes burdening others with her issues. So when something tips the scale and she can't hold in her pain and frustration anymore, she simply lets loose at whoever in nearest.  She is too haughty to apologize. And, like most female dragons, she is vain.







Jarnunvösk's life has been fairly uneventful. She was rescued from the Vault of Kuthian with all of the other eggs and brought to Ellesmera.  She hatched for a young elf about a year ago, and they have been training under Arya and Fírnen since. Soon they will embark on their mission- ferrying eggs around Alagaësia to find new Riders.
